You choose what the listing offers: a chauffeur with the car, self-drive, or both as separate terms. Hirers agree those terms with you. This page is not legal advice on insurance or licensing.

Cars are listed by independent owners. Luxury Car Hires is not the hire operator and does not take payment for the hire.

Owner choice

This site does not assign a driver

Luxury Car Hires does not provide chauffeurs and does not hire cars. Listings across every Australian capital city, plus Townsville and North Queensland are owner cars. You say what you offer.

Hirers who want a driver must find an owner who lists chauffeur hire. Hirers who want to drive themselves must find an owner who lists self-drive. There is no company desk to mix and match on their behalf.

Hire types

Chauffeur hire and self-drive

Two different jobs. Write the one you mean on the listing so the enquiry is not a surprise.

Chauffeur hire

You, or a driver you arrange, stay with the car. The hirer is a passenger. You set the hours, waiting rules, and where you will go. This marketplace will not chauffeur anyone and will not send a driver from a company pool.

Self-drive

The hirer drives. You set pickup, return, and any limits you need. Licence checks and insurance for that arrangement are yours to sort with your insurer, not with this site.

Say the hire type in plain words

Put chauffeur or self-drive in the description, and any suburb or airport limits that apply across every Australian capital city, plus Townsville and North Queensland. The enquiry still goes to your email. Payment for the hire still stays between you and the hirer.
