Owner pricing
How owners price a listed car
You set the hire rate. This site does not publish a company rate card and does not take payment for the hire. Hirers enquire to you. Use these structures as a way to explain the listing, not as prices this marketplace charges.
Cars are listed by independent owners. Luxury Car Hires is not the hire operator and does not take payment for the hire.
Two different amounts
Listing fee is not the hire rate
The $6.99/month fee publishes the listing. Hire money never goes through this site. Put your own rate on the listing so hirers know how you charge.
Luxury Car Hires does not operate cars across every Australian capital city, plus Townsville and North Queensland. There is no company fleet price to copy. If a hirer wants a number, they enquire to you.
Keep the published rate honest and short: structure plus a figure you are willing to stand behind. The description can explain waiting time and extras.
Structures
Hourly, half-day, full-day, weekend
Choose the structure that matches how you actually hire the car. You can publish one structure or several. Do not invent a fleet menu you will not honour.
Hourly
Short runs, airport collections, and waiting time. Spell out whether the clock includes pickup, drop-off, and holds between stops. Hirers still confirm the window with you.
Half-day
Formals, meetings, and photo blocks that do not need the whole day. State how many hours you treat as a half-day so the listing is not ambiguous.
Full-day
Weddings, client hosting, and itineraries that run morning to evening. Say what is included and what is extra: extra suburbs, overtime, or a second trip.
Weekend
Event weekends and visitor stays. Useful in Airlie Beach and Port Douglas when the car is committed Friday to Sunday. The hirer still books that block with you.

What usually changes the number
These are owner decisions. This site does not set them and does not take a cut of the hire.
Hirers
They still deal with you
A live listing can show your rate. The enquiry goes to your contact email. Times, extras, and payment sit between you and the hirer. This marketplace does not quote on your behalf.
Locations
Local notes by city
Same structures, different distances. Only list suburbs and runs you will cover.
Sydney
SYD terminals, Barangaroo, Circular Quay cruise days, and Parramatta meetings are different clocks. Harbour congestion is not a suburban quote.
Melbourne
MEL and Avalon (AVV) are not the same run. Cup week and Crown nights tighten supply. Yarra Valley days need a full-day structure if you offer them.
Brisbane
BNE via the Gateway, South Bank, and Story Bridge photo holds change inner-city time. Ekka week is not a default CBD quote.
Perth
PER has more than one terminal precinct. Fremantle Port, Kings Park, and Swan Valley are extra distance. Price the one you will drive.
Adelaide
ADL is close to the CBD. Barossa and Hills days are not a Glenelg tram substitute. Festival weeks fill hotels.
Hobart
HBA to the CBD is short. Salamanca Saturdays and MONA splits are owner decisions. Winter weather can kill a mountain photo plan.
Darwin
Dry-season outdoor days and wet-season storms are different jobs. Palmerston is not the Waterfront. DRW is an owner run.
Canberra
Sitting weeks change Barton and Parkes access. CBR is close to Civic. Queanbeyan is not automatic.
Townsville
Airport days through Townsville Airport, CBD meetings, Strand photo stops, and school formals are common listing uses. Magnetic Island runs only if you offer them.
Cairns
Cairns Airport, the Esplanade, the convention precinct, and northern beaches (Palm Cove, Trinity Beach) change time on the clock. Price the extra distance if you cover it.
Airlie Beach
Marina check-ins, Cannonvale pickups, and Whitsunday Coast Airport (PPP) transfers are owner decisions. Weekend blocks are common when boats and events stack.
Port Douglas
Resort and Macrossan Street nights are local. Cairns Airport to Port Douglas is a longer run. Only list it if you will actually do it, and price the time.
